In the quiet, rural landscape of Ripley County, near Doniphan, Missouri, a tragedy shattered the community's sense of peace. On January 13, 2024, 44-year-old Kathryn Ann Rutledge Pudivitr, a white female, and her 50-year-old husband, Eric Pudivitr, were discovered deceased inside their home, both having succumbed to gunshot wounds. The grim discovery prompted the activation of the Ripley County Major Case Squad to investigate what was being treated as a double homicide.
