On a Sunday afternoon in Camden, New Jersey, the life of 25-year-old Nasir Mason was tragically cut short. The incident unfolded on October 13, 2024, when gunfire erupted in the 1900 block of Kossuth Street at approximately 4:02 p.m. Officers from the Camden County Police Department were dispatched to the scene after a ShotSpotter activation alerted them to the shooting.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Nasir Mason suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to Cooper University Hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts to save him, Mason was pronounced deceased at the hospital at 4:30 p.m.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Camden County Police Department are actively investigating the fatal shooting.
