In the bright light of a Friday afternoon in Camden, New Jersey, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. On May 17, 2024, 24-year-old Marcus Corbitt, a Black male, was in the 800 block of Princeton Avenue when the sound of gunfire shattered the midday calm.
