On May 17, 2024, at approximately 12:34 p.m., officers from the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation indicating gunfire in the 800 block of Princeton Avenue in Camden, New Jersey. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Marcus Corbitt suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers transported Corbitt to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m.
