On January 8, 2023, 64-year-old Michael Douglas Hancock was found deceased in his residence on the 800 block of 30th Street Northwest in Roanoke, Virginia. Responding to a call around 9:40 p.m., Roanoke Police officers discovered Hancock with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
