In the evening hours of October 25, 2023, emergency services in Little Rock, Arkansas, received a call reporting gunfire at the Bella Vista Apartments on Mabelvale Cut Off Road. Upon their arrival at the scene, police discovered 21-year-old Marquis Harper, a male resident of Little Rock, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
