On October 18, 2017, 19-year-old Kordell "KD" Johnson was fatally shot at the Big Country Chateau Apartments in Little Rock, Arkansas. Witnesses reported that Johnson had been inside an apartment with two individuals, known acquaintances, engaging in social activities. Feeling uneasy, Johnson asked the two men to leave, which they did. Shortly after, there was a knock on the door; when Johnson answered, he was shot multiple times.
