In the early morning hours of November 16, 2018, the life of 44-year-old Corey Jackson was tragically cut short in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jackson, a male, was discovered deceased inside a residence located on the 3100 block of West 17th Street at approximately 3 a.m. The cause of his untimely death was determined to be a fatal gunshot wound.
For several weeks, the circumstances surrounding Jackson's death remained a somber mystery, leaving his friends and family to grapple with the
sudden and violent loss. The investigation into his homicide continued, with law enforcement diligently working to piece together the events that led to the shooting.
In January of 2019, a significant breakthrough occurred in the case. The Little Rock Police Department announced the arrest of 43-year-old Cynthia Kelley. Following her apprehension, Kelley was formally charged with first-degree murder in connection with Corey Jackson's death, bringing a measure of progress to an investigation that had weighed heavily on the community.
