On April 17, 2021, 32-year-old Learthur Darnell Shelton Jr., a resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was fatally shot in Little Rock. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Fair Park Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found Shelton suffering from a gunshot wound; he was transported to UAMS Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
