On October 24, 2017, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Little Rock police officers responded to a disturbance involving a weapon in the 1600 block of South Woodrow Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Loren Darnell Poole Jr. lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Poole was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
