On April 8, 2021, at approximately 4:23 p.m., Little Rock Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident in the 7700 block of North Chicot Road. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Deshon Stokes II suffering from gunshot wounds near a playground in the area. Despite prompt medical attention, Stokes was pronounced dead at the scene.
