On March 16, 1993, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 22-year-old Scot Sherman Stobaugh entered the FunWash laundromat on West Markham Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, to do laundry. While there, he was approached by an assailant in an apparent robbery attempt. The assailant shot Stobaugh seven times at close range with a .22 caliber pistol, resulting in his death.
