In the autumn of 2018, the life of 29-year-old Bobby Young Jr., a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Little Rock, Arkansas. On the morning of November 18, 2018, his body was discovered in a ditch in the 7400 block of Loretto Lane. The discovery prompted an investigation by the Little Rock Police Department, who treated the case as an apparent homicide.
Less than a month later, on December 10, 2018, law enforcement officials announced a significant breakthrough in
the case with the arrest of four individuals. Three of the suspects, Dustin Brewer, Joseph Knox, and Addison Reese, were taken into custody and subsequently charged with capital murder in connection with Young's death. A fourth individual, Tyler Jordan, was also arrested and faced a charge of tampering with evidence.
Following their arrests, all four suspects were held in the Pulaski County Jail. The charges brought against Brewer, Knox, and Reese indicated that authorities believed they were directly responsible for the death of Bobby Young Jr., while the charge against Jordan suggested an attempt to conceal or alter evidence related to the crime.
