On January 5, 2020, at approximately 9:20 p.m., 35-year-old Varn Brown Jr. was found deceased outside a building at Capitol Hill Apartments in Little Rock, Arkansas. Multiple callers reported hearing between six to ten gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brown lying on the ground just outside the lower-level breezeway of one of the apartment buildings. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
