William Alan 'Bill' Gwatney, a 48-year-old male, was a prominent figure in Arkansas, known for his successful business ventures and a decade of service in the state Senate. On the morning of August 13, 2008, he made an unscheduled stop at the Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters in Little Rock, where he served as the party chairman. It was a decision that would tragically end his life in a baffling and senseless act of violence.
