On August 16, 2019, at approximately 2:32 a.m., Little Rock police responded to a ShotSpotter activation indicating a single gunshot in the 5000 block of West 31st Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Charles Brent Gant deceased from a gunshot wound inside the residence of 29-year-old Jessica Henson, with whom he was reportedly in a relationship.
