On a warm evening in Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 2, 1967, the life of 27-year-old Lloyd Worthy, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. A two-year veteran of the Little Rock Police Department and a U.S. Navy veteran, Officer Worthy was on duty when he stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle. He radioed in the stop but was not heard from again.
