In the early afternoon of a Tuesday in Richmond, Virginia, the life of Tegene Lemma Birke, a 56-year-old man, was abruptly ended. On January 24, 2023, at approximately 12:55 p.m., police were called to the 3400 block of Maury Street with a report of a person shot.
