In the early hours of a Friday morning in Richmond, Virginia, the life of Marcus D. Smith Jr. was tragically cut short. On May 6, 2022, in the 2200 block of Chateau Drive, the 28-year-old male was found in a parking lot, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The Richmond Police Department was summoned to the scene around 1:15 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Smith, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
