In the cool autumn evening of October 20, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the 1900 block of Q Street in Richmond, Virginia. When Richmond Police officers arrived at the scene just before 9 p.m., they discovered a grim tableau. Two men had been struck by bullets, their bodies a testament to the sudden violence that had erupted. One of the men was clinging to life and was rushed to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
