Patrolman Barry Wayne Maham, aged 32, tragically lost his life on August 8, 1978, in Richmond, Virginia. Maham, a dedicated officer with the Henrico County Police Department, was responding to a domestic disturbance call at the 5400 block of Raleigh Road. Upon arrival, he and his partner began speaking with the female complainant on the steps of the residence.
