In a quiet Richmond neighborhood, the life of 34-year-old Eric Valentine was tragically cut short. On the morning of December 8, 2021, police were called to a residence in the 1600 block of Rosecrest Avenue following a report of a person down. Inside, they discovered the male victim, unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A relative of the victim, 31-year-old Wilhelmina Valentine, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
