On the evening of January 28, 2023, the life of 36-year-old Eldridge Vandrew Smith, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Charlottesville, Virginia. At approximately 9:41 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of Grove Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Smith inside an SUV, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
