Death by Force

On March 15, 2019, Senior Airman Shawn McKeough Jr., a 23-year-old from North Little Rock, Arkansas, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at the Big Red Convenience Store in North Little Rock. McKeough, who was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base, was inside the store when two armed men entered, threatening customers and the clerk. In an effort to protect those present, McKeough attempted to disarm one of the gunmen but was shot and killed during the confrontation.
