In the late summer of 2017, the life of Shawn Evan Davis, a 45-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, who was a regular visitor to Charlottesville, Virginia, was tragically cut short. On the evening of September 11th, at approximately 9:20 p.m., in the 900 block of South 1st Street, Davis was shot in the chest. Emergency services responded to the scene, and he was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
