In May of 2019, the life of a young man, Cody Jason Cappel, a 24-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Charlottesville, Virginia. His body was discovered on the evening of Thursday, May 16, 2019, along the Rivanna River Trail, behind Peter Jefferson Parkway in Albemarle County. An investigation into his death revealed that Cappel had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, which were determined to be the cause of his death.
