On January 30, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred at an apartment complex on Salisbury Way in Hampton, Virginia, resulting in the deaths of Destiny Layton, her unborn child, and Dijonte Nash. Destiny Layton, a 25-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant, was rushed to the hospital where she and her unborn baby girl later died. Dijonte Nash, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.
