On February 20, 2023, at approximately 7:02 a.m., Portsmouth police officers responded to a gunshot wound incident near the 1500 block of Lasalle Avenue in Portsmouth, Virginia. Upon arrival, they found 41-year-old Albert Lamonte Henderson Jr. with critical injuries. Henderson was transported to a hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, his injuries proved fatal.
