In the summer of 2022, a tragic event unfolded in Portsmouth, Virginia, forever altering the lives of several families. On June 7th, 30-year-old Georgio Devontae Lee was inside a house on Maple Avenue when gunfire erupted. The violent outburst resulted in a quadruple shooting, claiming the lives of Lee and three other individuals: Samuel Jones, Oleisha Mears, and Ashley Merricks.
