Alvin K. Joyner, age 51, was tragically killed in a shooting incident that occurred on February 5, 2023, in Portsmouth, Virginia. The incident took place around 3:22 a.m. near the 1800 block of Nashville Avenue, close to Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Alvin was not the only victim of this violent crime. His twin brother, Calvin R. Joyner, also 51 years old, was killed in the same shooting. Additionally, a 61-year-old woman was critically injured but survived the attack.
