Kemon Dermarie Battle, a 12-year-old boy from Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost his life on December 22, 2018. Kemon was shot in the head while playing outside on Lexington Drive. He was immediately rushed to the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD), where he underwent surgery. Unfortunately, despite the medical efforts, Kemon succumbed to his injuries the following day.
