On August 12, 2023, 31-year-old Keith Alexander Wright from Portsmouth, Virginia, was fatally shot. At approximately 2:45 a.m., Portsmouth Police were alerted that Wright had arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds; he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. The crime scene was identified near the 1200 block of County Street.
