In the late hours of a December night in Gary, Indiana, the life of 25-year-old Johnny Ware was tragically cut short. On December 21, 2015, while standing in the driveway of his own home in the 1500 block of West 2nd Avenue, he was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m., a time when the neighborhood should have been settling into a quiet evening.
