In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Gary, Indiana, the life of 35-year-old Jeriel K. Odie was tragically cut short. On August 18, 2019, in the 600 block of Adams Street, Jeriel was discovered with gunshot wounds. Responders arrived at the scene around 11:25 p.m., but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight on August 19, 2019.
