Jeriel Odie, a 35-year-old resident of Merrillville, Indiana, tragically lost his life on August 18, 2019, in Gary, Indiana. Jeriel was found with gunshot wounds in the 600 block of Adams Street around 11:25 p.m. on that fateful night. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight on August 19, 2019. The Lake County Coroner's Office ruled his death a homicide.
