In the quiet evening of Sunday, December 11, 2016, the life of 29-year-old Keith Conrad Warren was tragically cut short in Portsmouth, Virginia. Known affectionately as 'Kool K,' he was a man described by those who knew him as cool, humble, and the life of the party. He was a devoted father to his three children, taking simple joys in everyday routines like walking his daughter to the bus stop.
That night, just before 8:00 p.m.
on Dale Drive, the sound of gunshots shattered the neighborhood's peace. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Warren suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and upper body. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he died shortly after his arrival. While he did not live on Dale Drive, neighbors reported seeing him in the area often enough to consider him a part of their community.
