On November 29, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Portsmouth Police responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Fort Lane and Crawford Parkway in Portsmouth, Virginia. Upon arrival, officers discovered a heavily damaged vehicle that had overturned and collided with a power pole and tree. Inside the vehicle, they found 47-year-old Raymond Lateef Martin, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
