In the summer of 2023, the life of 20-year-old Lonnie Darnell Harvey Jr. was tragically cut short in Virginia Beach, Virginia. On the evening of June 15th, what should have been a joyous family graduation party on Garfield Avenue turned into a scene of violence. It was there that Harvey was shot multiple times in the back, a brutal act that ended his promising young life.
