In the spring of 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in a Virginia Beach neighborhood, leaving a community shaken and a family grieving the loss of Rakel Ramel Mason. The 41-year-old man was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, April 6, 2018, in what police described as a quadruple shooting.
