Rapheal Sherrod Sumner, a 31-year-old resident of Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident on August 20, 2023. The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. in the 700 block of E. 29th Street in Norfolk. When police responded to reports of a gunshot victim, they found Sumner suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
