Brian Wayne Jones, a 34-year-old Norfolk police officer, tragically lost his life in the line of duty on May 30, 2014. Officer Jones was responding to a call regarding a suspect who had been randomly firing a gun at citizens while driving down Chesapeake Boulevard, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old boy.
