In the early morning hours of September 3, 2021, the life of 39-year-old Torey L. Lane, a Black male from Virginia Beach, was tragically cut short in Norfolk, Virginia. Police responded to a call about a gunshot victim at a residence in the 700 block of A Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Lane suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injury proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival.
