On October 9, 2023, 21-year-old Arthur House was fatally shot at a 7-Eleven located at 3201 George Washington Highway in Portsmouth, Virginia. Police responded to the scene just before 4 a.m., finding House with gunshot wounds; he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
