In the early morning hours of July 21, 2024, the life of 23-year-old Damonye Lamont Taylor was tragically cut short in Hopewell, Virginia. The young man, known to have attended Hopewell High School where he played football, was one of two victims in a fatal shooting that erupted during a house party. The incident also claimed the life of 30-year-old Dequante Travell Roney.
