In the early evening of Wednesday, March 5, 2025, a dispute in the 1000 block of Sunnyside Avenue in Hopewell, Virginia, escalated to a fatal conclusion. Tion Kiandre Studivant, a 30-year-old male, was engaged in a verbal argument that ended with him suffering from several gunshot wounds. The Hopewell Police Department received a call about the shooting at approximately 5:37 P.M. and upon arrival, officers discovered Studivant gravely injured.
