William Jamal Claiborne, a 28-year-old resident of Hopewell, Virginia, tragically lost his life on June 24, 2023, in a shooting incident. The Hopewell Police Department responded to a report of shots fired on that fateful Saturday evening at approximately 6:43 PM. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Claiborne suffering from a gunshot wound to his right arm that had traveled to his chest.
