In the early morning hours of September 16, 1991, a scene of violence erupted at the JI Counters Inc. cocktail lounge in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York, leaving four people dead, including 29-year-old Luz Analith Sepulveda. The female victim was one of several patrons at the bar when a shootout occurred.
