On a tragic Friday evening in Queens, New York, a devoted mother's life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. Gudelia Vallinas, a 37-year-old woman originally from Mexico, was walking home on March 12, 2021, when she was struck by a stray bullet. A dedicated wife and mother to her 11-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter, she was just steps from her Astoria home after running a quick errand when she was caught in the crossfire of a violent dispute.
