On April 28, 2024, a tragic incident occurred on Interstate 77 in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio, resulting in the death of David E. Perez Jr., a 57-year-old resident of Garfield Heights. The shooting took place around 9:25 p.m. on I-77 South, near Grant Avenue.
