Migdalia Ortega, a 51-year-old civilian member of the NYPD, was tragically found dead in her Queens apartment on May 9, 2022. Ortega, who had worked in the information technology bureau at NYPD headquarters for 11 years, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
