Janice Hansen Drake, a 31-year-old former beauty queen and dancer, met a tragic end on September 25, 1959, in Queens, New York. Drake, who had previously competed as Miss New Jersey in the 1944 Miss America Pageant, was married to comedian Allan Drake. On the night of her death, she was in the company of Anthony "Little Augie Pisano" Carfano, a notorious mobster associated with the Genovese crime family.
