On September 22, 2024, around midnight, a shooting occurred in the 1200 block of High Avenue in Hopewell, Virginia, resulting in injuries to two men. One of the victims, 63-year-old Michael Anthony Gholson, walked into the emergency room of HCA TriCities Hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
